So, I just had to share my new favorite app. I genuinely love it. It's called Acorns.
I think I am probably a little older then most people to start down this path, but I am probably starting a little later then most people on a lot of things, because it took me so long to get my life pulled together.
Acorns is the app! Recently I was looking for a way to learn more about investing my money. I knew I wanted to start to learn more. Of course I started listening to finance pod casts, cause well, that's just what I do. And even with all the advise, going to a broker seemed a little bit overwhelming, not to mention I didn't have much money to invest.
So I started to look through the internet and app that could help me. I came across tons of apps to help investing. But Acorns really drew me in.
You can invest as little as $5 to get started. You can have them roll up (which is always a very helpful way to save money) or you can deposit a sum of money month or do both. I decided to do both. I was only depositing a little amount of money and doing the roll ups. I was so anxious every day to look and see if my money was growing, or if I was loosing. I can understand why people get so hooked on looking at the stock market. It almost seemed as exciting as gambling. There was the anticipation of waiting for that big win.
They provide helpful graphs to look at you money, and see you history. They invest the money for you in different stocks, funds, and bonds depending on goals.
My favorite part is there is a section named GROW, that is much like a blog. They publish articles that will help you learn and teach you about finance, saving, spending, etc.
I tell everyone about this app. I feel like everyone knows about my new investing venture via Acorns.
There is a small fee of only $1/monthly, but for me so far, I haven't had to pay it, it just comes out of my gains. Below - select on the button if you are interested in trying it out.
